What is an anagram?

A word made from all the letters of another, each used once: listen, silent, enlist and tinsel are anagrams of each other.

What is the difference from the unscrambler?

The anagram solver uses every letter you type, exactly once. The word unscrambler also finds the shorter words your letters make.

Does it solve phrases?

This one finds single words. Type the letters of a phrase without spaces and it lists the one-word anagrams.

Is this an anagram generator?

Yes: an anagram generator, finder or maker all do this. Type a word and it lists every one-word anagram; add a ? for a blank to make anagrams with one letter changed.
