Currents Game (Netflix Puzzled): How to Play, Rules and Tips

Currents is the path puzzle in Netflix Puzzled. Draw one unbroken path that starts at 1, visits the numbers in order and passes through every cell of the grid. The path never crosses itself and never doubles back. If you know LinkedIn's Zip, this is the same idea.

  • Numbers in order
  • Every cell
  • No crossing
1234
A Currents board of our own, solved: one path from 1 to 4 through every cell.

The rules

  1. 1234

    Through the numbers, in order

The path starts at 1 and reaches the numbers in order: 2 after 1, 3 after 2. It may wander between them, but never skip one.

  2. 1234✗ Not allowed

    No crossing, no backtracking

The path cannot cross itself or run back over a cell it has used. Each cell is visited once.

  3. 1234✓ Right

Every cell is on the path

The puzzle is solved when the path has gone through every numbered node and every cell. An empty cell anywhere means the path is wrong somewhere.

From 1 to the last number

A 4 by 4 board of our own, the numbers 1 to 4:

  1. 1234

From 1, the only way to use the top row is to go along it

  2. 1234

Back along the second row to 2, then on to 3

  3. 1234

The last row to 4: every cell used, solved

Where to play, and the controls

  1. Open Netflix Puzzled on iOS or Android, or in a browser at netflix.com/tudum/puzzled. No account is needed.
  2. Swipe from 1 to draw the path. Swipe back along it to undo, or tap the highest number you have reached to clear the path from there.
  3. The lightbulb shows the direction of the next move when you are stuck.

Currents tips: find the path without guessing

  • Start from the corners and dead ends

A corner cell has two neighbours, so the path through it turns. A cell in a dead end can only be entered and left one way: draw those first.

  • Never strand a pocket of cells

Before leaving a number, check that the cells on the other side can still be reached later. A pocket cut off from the rest is a wrong turn.

  • Count the cells between numbers

The cells between two consecutive numbers must all be used by the path between them, or saved for a later stretch. Count them.

  • Think in chessboard colours

On a grid with an even number of cells, the path alternates colours like a chessboard. If 1 and the last number sit on the same colour, no path can exist, so look again at the grid size.

  • Undo to the last number

If the path is long and you are unsure, undo to the last number rather than the start: the stretch before it was right.

Questions

What is Currents on Netflix?

A logic puzzle in Netflix Puzzled: one path through the numbered nodes in order and through every cell of the grid, without crossing itself.

Is Currents like Zip?

Yes. The rule is the same as in LinkedIn's Zip: numbers in order, every cell used, no crossing. The grids and the look are Netflix's own.

Can cells stay empty in Currents?

No. Every cell must be on the path. If the path reaches the last number with cells left over, it took a wrong turn earlier.

How do you undo in Currents?

Swipe back along the path to undo part of it, or tap the highest number reached to remove the path from that point.

When is there a new Currents puzzle?

A new daily Currents arrives at midnight, your local time. Past days stay in the archive, and there is a collection of extra puzzles in the app.

Currents is a game in Netflix Puzzled, the puzzle app of Netflix. AWA GAMES is an independent site and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Netflix. The boards on this page are our own.
