Starstruck Game (Netflix Puzzled): How to Play Star Battle
Starstruck is the star battle puzzle in Netflix Puzzled. Place one star in every row, one in every column and one in every colour region, so that no two stars touch, not even at a corner. Every board has one answer, and it is found by ruling cells out, not by guessing.

The rules
One star in every row
Each row holds exactly one star. Once a row has its star, every other cell of that row is out.
One star in every column
Each column holds exactly one star too. A star settles its row and its column at once.
One star in every region
Each colour region holds exactly one star, whatever its shape or size. A region of one cell is already solved.

Stars never touch
No two stars may touch, not side by side and not diagonally. The eight cells round a star are all out.
Crosses rule cells out
A cross marks a cell where no star can go. Place a star and the app crosses its neighbours for you; cross the rest of its row, column and region yourself.

Solved: every line and region has one
The board is solved when every row, column and region has its star and no two touch. Five regions on a 5 by 5 board means five stars.

Where to play, and the controls
- Open Netflix Puzzled on iOS or Android, or play in a browser at netflix.com/tudum/puzzled. No Netflix account is needed.
- Tap a cell once for a cross, twice for a star, a third time to clear it. Swipe across cells to mark several at once.
- When you place a star, the app crosses the cells round it (a setting you can turn off). The lightbulb gives a hint, as often as you like.
Starstruck tips: solve the star battle without guessing
Start with the smallest region
A region of one or two cells has almost no choice. Its star rules out a row, a column and eight neighbours, and the rest of the board shrinks.
A region inside one row owns the row
If a region sits entirely inside one row, that row's star is in that region: every other cell of the row is out, even in other regions.
Count regions against rows
Two regions that fit inside the same two rows take both rows' stars. Any other region's cells in those rows can be crossed.
Let the crosses place the stars
Cross first, star second. When crosses leave a row, column or region with one open cell, the star is forced, and the next crosses follow.
Watch the corners
A cell that touches two possible stars of a neighbouring region can never hold one itself, because one of those two must be a star.
Use the hint to learn the move
Hints are unlimited, and each shows a forced move. If you are stuck, take one and see why it was forced rather than guessing.

What is Starstruck on Netflix?

Is Starstruck the same as Star Battle?
