Flower Sudoku
A flower puzzle game online, free: a picture sudoku with flowers in place of numbers, and every row, column and box needs each of them once. Easy is a 4x4 sudoku of four flowers, medium and hard a 9x9 garden, and every level you press grows a new board, with notes and a hint for a stubborn bed.
How to solve flower sudoku
The flower that is left
For one empty square, rule out the rose, the poppy and every other flower in its row, column and box. If a single flower remains, plant it.
One bed for the sunflower
Choose one flower, the sunflower, and one box. A square is out if a sunflower already stands in its row or column. When only one square is left, the sunflower goes there.

The flowers
Twenty-four flowers, drawn for this game: garden flowers like the tulip, the rose and the sunflower, wild ones like the poppy and the daisy, and a few from warmer places, the hibiscus, the lotus and the bird of paradise. Look-alikes such as the lavender and the lupin never share a board, and each flower keeps its own shape as well as its colour.

Questions
What is flower sudoku?
A sudoku with flowers in place of numbers: every row, column and box holds each flower once, four on the 4 × 4 and nine on the 9 × 9.
Do the flowers change the rules?
No. A flower stands where a digit would, and the logic is the same: a flower can appear once in each row, column and box. Hard is a full 9 × 9 sudoku.
Why are the lavender and the lupin never on one board?
Both are tall violet spikes, and at the size of a square they look alike; so do the snowdrop and the lily of the valley. The game keeps such pairs apart, so every flower on the board is easy to tell from the others.
Can a flower sudoku have two solutions?
No. Each board is grown when you press its level, and the game keeps it only when the flowers fit in a single way.
What if I get stuck?
Press Hint. It lights the next square and names the flower that belongs there, after pointing out any flower in the wrong place.
