Vehicle Sudoku
A car puzzle game online, free: a picture sudoku with vehicles in place of numbers, and every row, column and box needs each of them once. Easy is a 4x4 sudoku of four vehicles, medium and hard a 9x9 traffic grid, a new board each time you press a level, with notes and a hint for any jam.
How to solve vehicle sudoku
The last free vehicle
For one empty square, rule out the bus, the tractor and every other vehicle in its row, column and box. A single one left is your answer.
One space for the fire engine
Take one vehicle, the fire engine, and one box. A square is blocked if its row or column already has a fire engine. The only open square takes it.
Stuck in traffic? Hint shows the next square and which vehicle goes there.
The vehicles
Twenty-four vehicles, drawn for this game: cars, trucks and buses on the road, a tram and a steam train on rails, a ship and a submarine on the water, an airplane, a helicopter and a hot-air balloon in the air. Look-alikes such as the car, the taxi and the police car never share a board.

Questions
What is vehicle sudoku?
A sudoku where vehicles take the place of numbers. Every row, column and box holds each vehicle once: four on the 4 × 4, nine on the 9 × 9.
Does it play like a normal sudoku?
Exactly like one. Only the symbols change, so a taxi counts as much as a 7. Medium and hard are full 9 × 9 sudokus.
Why do the car, the taxi and the police car never meet?
At the size of a square, the three are the same car with different paint; the excavator and the bulldozer, the bus and the tram are just as close. The game keeps them on separate boards, so every vehicle is easy to tell apart.
Can two different fillings both be right?
No. Each board is built when you press a level and kept only if the vehicles fit one way.
What if I get stuck?
Press Hint: it lights the next square, names the vehicle and says why, after flagging any vehicle in the wrong square.
